DOCUMENTS:
US citizens require a valid passport. Other nationalities please
inquire with the appropriate embassies.
TRAVEL WARNING:
This is to inform you that there
is a Travel Warning issued by the Department of State for travel
to Israel, the West Bank and Gaza. This warning might still be
in effect on the day of your travel and your cancellation for this
reason does not constitute grounds for refund of the cancellation
fees listed below.
REGISTRATION AND DEPOSITS:
Deposit of $300 per person is required upon registration along
with a signed copy of the registration form. No registrations can
be taken by telephone or fax. Registrations are processed in the
order received by TWT. Balance of payment is due 75 days prior to
departure. Late payment is subject to $50 penalty. Late registration
(fewer than 75 days) must be accompanied by full payment by cashiers
check only (including the optional passenger travel protection program
payment, if applicable), is subject to availability and subject to
a $50 late fee. TWT reserves the right to cancel reservations that
are not paid in full 60 days prior to departure and to apply the
applicable cancellation fees/penalties indicated below. A $25 fee
will be charged on all checks returned by our bank.
INDIVIDUAL CANCELLATION
FEES & REFUNDS:
Upon cancellation of participation in the tour by you, the registrant,
for any reason, and only after TWT receives your signed cancellation
in writing sent via certified mail or fax, TWT will then refund
your payment for services not received by you, minus applicable
cancellation fees per person, according to the following schedule:
1) Minimum cancellation fee is $100 from time of registration up
to 120 days prior to the tour’s departure day;
2) From 119 to 60 days prior to departure day, the cancellation
fee is $200;
3) From 59 days to 8 days prior to departure day, the cancellation
fee is $300 plus any non-refundable amounts paid to and/or penalties
assessed by airlines, hotels, or other suppliers of travel services
(up to the total cost of the tour);
4) From 7 days prior to departure day and onward, no refund is
possible.
The above cancellation fees and/or penalties will also apply if
you register for an optional extension or airline routing, and
you decide to cancel or change any of these. We highly recommend
the Passenger Travel Protection Program (see ‘PASSENGER TRAVEL
PROTECTION PROGRAM’ below.)
TOUR OPERATION & CANCELLATION:
While no changes are anticipated,
TWT expressly reserves the right to withdraw any part of the tour,
or to make such alterations in the itinerary as it deems necessary
or desirable. TWT reserves the right to cancel this tour due to
any circumstances, and refund all payments in full without any
penalty. This will constitute, in full, TWT’s obligation to tour
registrants and TWT bears no further responsibility beyond the
full refund. TWT expressly disclaims any liability for any loss,
expense, damage or inconvenience caused as a result of any tour
cancellations or changes made to any of its tours.
TWT likewise expressly disclaims any responsibility for refunds
of any payments for losses or expenses incurred due to cancellation
or alteration of the tour when such action is beyond TWT’s control.
In this instance, TWT will assist you in requesting refunds for
all services prepaid but not rendered, minus a non-refundable $200
per person administration fee. TWT is not responsible for any non-recoverable
amounts disbursed to the carrier or other provider of services
on your behalf.
PASSENGER TRAVEL PROTECTION PROGRAM:
Passenger Travel Protection
Program is administered by Berkely Care, Ltd. This program is available
through TWT and is strongly recommended. A Protection Plan brochure
will be sent with your invoice. The Plan excludes coverage for
pre-existing conditions and war or any act of war, whether declared
or not. Please read the Protection Plan brochure for a full description
of coverage provided. Applicable Plan fee is based on the cash
discount price and taxes (as well as single room supplement and
airline add-ons, if applicable) and will appear as an optional
item on your invoice. Travel Protection Plan cannot be purchased
after you have made your final payment for the tour. All Protection
Plan fees are non-refundable.
HEALTH:
The registrant takes full responsibility for being fully
able to participate in the daily activities of the group as described
in the itinerary, noting that many facilities overseas are not
wheelchair accessible. While TWT cannot accept responsibility for
providing access to such facilities, TWT will attempt to assist
in providing mobility aids to the extent feasible and with applicable
costs. TWT assumes no responsibility for the registrant’s ability
to fully participate in the tour, nor can we provide any refund
for non-participation in any part of the tour.
AIR TRANSPORTATION:
Round-trip Economy Class. All airfare tickets,
unless specifically stated otherwise, are non-refundable. Any cancellation,
itinerary changes, or failure to use confirmed space would be subject
to penalties and/or fees levied by the airline at the time of ticketing.
Airfare, airline carrier, and airline schedules are subject to
change without notice. Passengers arranging their own airline transportation
are responsible for meeting the group at the first hotel of the
group’s itinerary. TWT is not responsible for itinerary changes
necessitated by changes in the airline’s schedule. Airline fuel
surcharges and security fee surcharges (if any) that occur after
the date of printing of the brochure are the responsibility of
the passenger.
DEVIATIONS:
Deviations from the tour’s group flight itinerary
are not possible. If you wish to make your own airline arrangements
and purchase the ‘land only’ version of tour package, please contact
your group coordinator for the ‘land only’ pricing.
AIRLINE SEATING, FREQUENT FLYER & MEAL
REQUESTS:
Seating is
group seating and therefore TWT cannot accommodate any individual
seating requests. TWT kindly directs you to the airlines for all
frequent flyer inquiries. Special meal requests should be made
directly with the airline by the tour registrant, usually two weeks
prior to departure.
BAGGAGE:
Baggage is at risk at all times. We strongly suggest
that you bring only one piece of checked luggage and one carry-on.
Porterage is included at hotels only for one piece of checked luggage;
the passenger is responsible at all times for carrying carry-on
luggage. No porterage included at airports.
ACCOMMODATIONS AND MEALS:
Based on double/twin accommodations
with private bathroom facilities (limited number of single rooms
available and subject to availability). No reduction for triple
rooms. Triple room consists of twin/double room plus a rollaway
bed, and confirmation is based on availability. If no roommate
is available for you or your roommate cancels prior to departure,
you agree to pay the single room supplement. Meals are menu of
the day as shown in the itinerary (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D-Dinner).
SIGHTSEEING:
By private motor coach with English-speaking guide/escort.
All entrance fees per itinerary included.
PRICES:
All prices are based on exchange rates and fares applicable
at the time of quotation and based on minimum number of paying
passengers stated in the brochure, and are therefore subject to
change if fares change, if group does not reach minimum or if exchange
rates fluctuate.
NOT INCLUDED:
Passports and visas, meals not mentioned, beverages
with meals, extras beyond standard menu, excess baggage, telephone
calls, fuel surcharges, laundry or any other items not explicitly
stated as included.
LIABILITY DISCLAIMER:
TWT hereby expressly disclaims any liability
for any personal injury, property damage, loss of baggage, accident,
delay or irregularity, any claim for special or consequential damages
or any other loss which may be occasioned by the acts and/or omissions,
whether negligent, intentional, wrongful or otherwise, of any air
carrier, hotel/motel or other lodging operator, railroad operator,
bus operator, public transportation, sea carrier, local sightseeing
company, tour operator, tour leader or spiritual director, any
employees thereof, or any other entity or individual not under
the direct supervision and control of TWT when engaged in conveying
the passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour,
or otherwise in connection therewith. TWT likewise expressly disclaims
any responsibility for losses or expenses incurred, or inconvenience
caused, due to delay or changes in schedules, defaults, over booking
of hotels or airlines, sickness, weather, strikes, quarantines,
acts of terrorism, constructions, war, force majeure or other such
events which are beyond TWT’s control. TWT likewise hereby expressly
disclaims any liability for statements, actions or inactions of
any intermediary agents such as group administrators, spiritual
directors or tour leaders, travel agents or any other intermediary
involved with the selling, promotion or operation of its tours.
Group administrators, spiritual leaders and tour leaders likewise
hereby expressly disclaim any liability for the acts and/or omissions
of any of the above entities and/or individuals not directly under
their supervision or control. Please be advised that the liability
of carriers as well as providers of hotel and lodging accommodations
is limited by law and you may thus wish to consider purchasing
additional passenger travel protection program to protect yourself
against any losses or injuries suffered as a result of their acts
and/or omissions. In all instances, TWT’s liability shall be limited
to the amounts paid by you for participation in the tour, and subject
to the provisions and cancellation fees as set forth in these ‘Brochure
Terms and Conditions.’ In the event that the tour leader and/or
spiritual director named in a brochure or itinerary does not travel
with the group, and a substitute is not named to replace such person(s),
then TWT reserves the right to make substitutions of its choosing
for such person(s) in the operation of the tour.
POLICY:
TWT does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion,
creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability,
medical condition, marital status, sex, age, sexual orientation
or status as a Vietnam veteran in the provision of its tour and
pilgrimage services.
